Carved Wolf Walking Stick #63

Watch For Snakes

CARVED FROM A SINGLE PIECE OF WOOD

In this video I’m carving a Rattlesnake Walking Stick. This one has an Eastern Diamondback climbing the walking stick with a knurled hand grip, and the words “WATCH FOR SNAKES” on the top.
Its been a long winter but the snow is finally melting back around the canyon. That gave me a chance to get out and do a little bit of hiking.

My next project is a wolf head walking stick with deer, elk, moose shed antlers on the shaft. It’s going to be a fun one!

Hand Carved Rattlesnake Cane #61

The weather has been so cold, lately, that I have had to do a lot of work indoors which has brought on a serious case of cabin fever! The only cure I know for that is to get out in the country. This video shows the making of a carved wooden cane with the Rattlesnake in the “ready to strike” position. It is carved from a single piece of Pine.

I’m in the process of uploading a series of video tutorials on the making of this cane for those who support me for $5 or more on https://www.patreon.com/stinnettsticks. I really appreciate the support which helps me be able to keep making videos. A “Great Big Thanks” to all you Patrons, Youtube subscribers and WordPress followers!

Wood Carved Massasauga Rattlesnake Walking stick #54

Here’s my latest carving. This one is a Massasauga Rattle Snake. I carved it from a piece of naturally crooked pine.

Eastern King Snake Walking Stick

I carved this King Snake and White Oak branch with it’s leaves all out of a single piece of wood.  It was a real challenge to bring all the leaves and stems together onto one branch.
