Carved Wolf Walking Stick #63

Hand Carved Rattlesnake Cane #61

The weather has been so cold, lately, that I have had to do a lot of work indoors which has brought on a serious case of cabin fever! The only cure I know for that is to get out in the country. This video shows the making of a carved wooden cane with the Rattlesnake in the “ready to strike” position. It is carved from a single piece of Pine.

I’m in the process of uploading a series of video tutorials on the making of this cane for those who support me for $5 or more on https://www.patreon.com/stinnettsticks. I really appreciate the support which helps me be able to keep making videos. A “Great Big Thanks” to all you Patrons, Youtube subscribers and WordPress followers!

I made this walking stick from a clear Cedar post.  I really enjoyed how easy the cedar carved and how well it took the stain.  I hope you’re all having a happy start to a great new year!

Redwood Trout Pendant

Here’s a little pendant we made out of some Redwood scraps.  It has some homemade Dogwood, beads and is hung with a tiny swivel.  My wife likes to help me and has made several different pendants like hummingbirds and sea turtles.  It’s been a fun addition to our home business. We sell them in our Etsy shop.

Wood Carved Burmese Python Walking Stick #57

Here’s a video of my work in progress of the Massasauga Rattlesnake walking cane; hand carved out of a single piece of wood.

Here’s my latest carving. This one is a Massasauga Rattle Snake. I carved it from a piece of naturally crooked pine.

Eastern King Snake Walking Stick

I carved this King Snake and White Oak branch with it’s leaves all out of a single piece of wood.  It was a real challenge to bring all the leaves and stems together onto one branch.
