Sidewinder Rattlesnake Knob Cane

I carved this knob-style cane from Oregon Juniper wood.  It features a Sidewinder Rattlesnake, a Deer Mouse and a moth.  It is completely carved out of a single piece of wood.  It will be hand painted and coated with a protective polyurethane.

    • Thank you, Richard! I’ve actually had a lot of people think that they were stuffed snakes. That’s why I decided to make videos to prove that they were carved from a piece of wood. Thanks for the nice comment!

    • Hi, Sterellie
Thank you for your interest in my walking sticks.
I’ve gotten so far behind on custom orders that I felt like it was best that I stopped taking orders until I’m caught up. As it is I’m now around 2 years behind. Thank you for your nice comment. I look forward to hearing from you again in the future.

  3. Oh how I wish I would have requested a mouse or lizard for my beautiful copperhead cane. I use it every day and it draws attention and comments from everyone who sees it.

    • Hello! Thanks for your interest in my walking sticks. It sounds like a very interesting project, but my order list is full until I can get caught up. If only I could carve faster! 😉

  5. 2 years behind?! I’d wait 10 years for one of these. They are incredible. I’m 60 now. Maybe I won’t need a walking stick for another 20.. but just to have one — what a treasure. I’d use it anyway. My knees are starting to make audible sounds when I go uphill. 🙂

  6. Thanks for your answer. I wish you could make a copperhead cane for me (6’1″) that could stand on its own. I will still buy one if not. Please keep me posted.

    • Thanks for your comment! I’m not sure that a self standing cane would be strong enough being made out of wood. But I’d be happy to discuss the details and price with you on my Etsy site. stinnettstudio.etsy.com
